It's strange and exciting and sometimes intensely difficult all at the same time getting used to teaching and working with a new brand of kids.  It can be baffling when stuff that used to work like a charm with my kiddos in Taiwan totally backfires in my face here.  You think... kids are kids.  And in some ways, it's true.  But others, not so much.

You mean you haven't been able to get them to use the word "streak" (in all its meanings) in a full sentence yet?
